This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Effectively engage with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Exchange scientific information with external parties in a fair, accurate, and balanced manner.
• Relay field intelligence to Sobi, including insights on competitors, perspectives on compounds, disease states, and the treatment landscape.
• Support the Sobi clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, site initiation visits, communication facilitation, and accrual support activities.
• Participate in and/or lead advisory board meetings at local, regional, and national levels.
• Deliver internal and external training on preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.
• Represent Sobi at medical conferences, engaging healthcare professionals and providing scientific coverage.
• Offer cross-functional support within the company as a scientific resource, following established guidelines.
• Cultivate and maintain an advanced understanding of relevant studies, compounds, and diseases to facilitate scientific discussions with leading thought leaders in rheumatology and nephrology.
• Maintain a high standard of excellence in managing the assigned territory while also supporting the success of colleagues and the MSL organization as a whole.
• Frequent travel by ground and/or air is required, with an estimated ≥ 70% time spent away from the remote office to meet territory size and product support needs.
• Serve as the primary field contact for Sobi Medical Affairs - Rheumatology.
• An accredited doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, DSc, DNP).
• Capability to comprehend and effectively convey scientific information; respond to inquiries and address the needs of key stakeholders.
• Proven success in managing internal and external stakeholders and leading or influencing cross-functional teams within a matrixed environment, showcasing strong teamwork and collaboration.
• A demonstrated history of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate a clear strategy or narrative.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in initiating and maintaining relationships within the medical community.
• Proven ability to foster positive, constructive relationships with cross-functional team members.
• High level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
• Understanding of the highly regulated biopharmaceutical industry, including its legal and regulatory framework.
• A minimum of 1 year of MSL experience is preferred.
• Experience in relevant clinical practice, disease state knowledge, and rare diseases is preferred.
