This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Engage with decision-makers in Oncology to convey and promote Amgen’s scientific platform.
• Articulate intricate and state-of-the-art scientific information and research ideas to healthcare decision-makers, including those at academic medical institutions.
• Deliver clinical and economic value information to payers and those making formulary decisions.
• Identify and train members of Amgen’s speakers’ bureau, keeping them informed of new data.
• Address investigator-sponsored research proposals.
• Support research sponsored by Amgen.
• Share insights gathered from interactions with healthcare thought leaders with Amgen partners.
• Offer scientific assistance to commercial teams, corporate accounts, and colleagues managing HCP inquiries.
• Build scientific relationships between Amgen and training fellows.
• Lead or take part in committees and project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics.
• Exemplify Amgen’s values, leadership qualities, professionalism, transparency, and innovation.
• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Preferred qualifications include a Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.; other doctoral degrees will also be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a medically related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Post-doctoral training, such as residencies and/or fellowships, may be considered as medically related experience.
• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Expertise in the oncology therapeutic area.
• Proven ability to convey complex scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers.
• Ability to provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
• Capacity to display tact and professionalism in all communications and interactions.
