Medical Science Liaison – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Serve as the affiliate's medical and scientific authority for designated product(s) and relevant therapeutic domains.

• Offer medical and scientific expert advice and support to key stakeholders regarding assigned product(s) and pertinent therapeutic areas.

• Contribute medical and scientific insights to the Medical Affairs strategies within the affiliate medical division.

• Oversee the review, approval, and execution of Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS).

• Ensure adherence to all relevant national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, and AbbVie standards, policies, and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree (e.g., PharmD., PharmB., MD, PhD) in a relevant scientific field is preferred; however, candidates with an undergraduate degree in a related discipline and relevant experience will also be considered.

• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape and the function of Medical Affairs in furthering the medical and scientific goals of a pharmaceutical organization.

• Previous experience in Medical Affairs and the Oncology therapy area is essential.

• Proven expertise in the scientific methodologies employed in clinical research and the current legislative and regulatory frameworks governing this research.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation abilities, with a track record of building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians, and other healthcare decision-makers.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

• A collaborative, team-focused mindset.

• Experience as an active participant in cross-functional teams and/or in matrix organizations will be beneficial.

• Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 50%).
