This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the genomic and clinical authority for GeneDx, engaging with clinicians, hospitals, academic institutions, regional professional organizations, and patient advocacy groups.

• Cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in the region.

• Present scientific and clinical information concerning genomics and genetic testing, focusing on the GeneDx product portfolio.

• Provide clinical information and educational resources to genetics professionals and non-genetic practitioners to enhance access to genomic testing.

• Assist healthcare providers and administrators in establishing programs that facilitate pre-test counseling, test result interpretation, and clinical management based on test outcomes.

• Collect insights from clients regarding regional needs and deficiencies in genomic services; communicate these insights to relevant internal stakeholders and advocate for action on priority issues.

• Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) and Training & Sales Enablement to ensure Regional Account Executives (RAEs) possess the necessary product knowledge and sales skills to optimize sales force effectiveness.

• Spend time in the field with individual RAEs to assess their needs, review objectives, and develop action plans; identify coaching and performance management opportunities and relay these to the RSD for follow-up.

• Work alongside RSDs to execute sales strategies and tactics as well as implement sales and marketing initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling.

• Over 3 years of experience in a clinical or academic setting as part of a Health Systems team or in an industry role as a genetic counselor.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) position or a comparable role within the industry.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong skills in presentation and public speaking.

• Capacity to work independently while managing time efficiently.

• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time within the designated region.
