This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the territory that aligns with the Medical Affairs objectives and goals.

• Build and nurture professional relationships with community and academic thought leaders/KOLs.

• Facilitate high-quality, reciprocal scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals.

• Gather, synthesize, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-specific information.

• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Monitor competitive activities and integrate evidence-based clinical context into scientific engagement strategies.

• Present relevant scientific data through discussions and presentations that clarify complex clinical evidence.

• Identify challenges and unmet needs, proposing evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.

• Provide actionable insights to guide medical strategy and support cross-functional discussions.

• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson products and research.

• Assist investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams.

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and discussions with peers.

• Promote inclusion and belonging both internally and externally.

• Stay informed about regulatory, healthcare compliance, ethical conduct, and Medical Affairs requirements.

• Create and implement a performance and development plan in conjunction with the Field Director.

• Accurately and compliantly complete administrative documentation and expense reporting.


⛳️ Requirements

• A doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is required, including PharmD, PhD, MD, or Advanced Practice Provider qualification.

• Postgraduate experience is necessary for candidates with a doctoral degree.

• Comprehensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge.

• Familiarity with research and/or healthcare systems.

• Expertise in data collection and analysis, clinical skills, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape assessment.

• Willingness to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel.

• A valid US Driver’s License is required.

• Over 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, ideally in an MSL capacity.

• More than 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred.

• Completion of a residency or fellowship is preferred.

• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.

• A proven commitment to learning and applying new technologies such as AI is essential.
