This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and uphold scientific expertise for the credible sharing of information with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Engage in and monitor investigator-initiated studies, clinical trials, and medical initiatives.
• Offer scientific support and foster relationships with external experts and academic institutions.
• Present scientific information to healthcare professionals both individually and in group settings.
• Assist in identifying qualified healthcare professionals for collaborative research, lectures, and meeting support.
• Attend scientific conferences and meetings, summarizing key data presented.
• Provide support for the British Columbia territory.
• An advanced education degree is required: Doctorate, PharmD, or MD.
• Relevant business experience with a strong understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
• Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is preferred.
• A relevant background in Dermatology is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the healthcare industry.
• Experience in presenting and/or interpreting scientific or clinical research publications.
• Knowledge of scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory frameworks.
• A keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area, product, and medical research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Comfort with various technologies, tools, and systems for daily tasks.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• Ability to comprehend stakeholder unmet needs and integrate information into in-field team engagement strategies.
• Competence in coordinating scientific and medical engagement efforts across stakeholders within an account.
• Understanding and execution of data-driven strategies and business decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with in-field team members.
• Flexible remote work arrangement.
