This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Accountable for steering country medical operations in accordance with regional strategies and the Global Medical Plan.
• Actively engage with medical scientific stakeholders to create value for patients through stakeholder interactions, scientific projects, and communications.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain collaborative relationships with KOLs, scientific experts, and other medical stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, prepare, and present high-quality medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific communications in alignment with established communication strategies.
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans that meet Sobi’s rigorous standards.
• Assist the country “Global Brand” team in formulating local medical strategies and provide insights to Headquarters (HQ)/regional plans as necessary.
• Organize and facilitate scientific advisory boards with key stakeholders, in partnership with the Medical Advisor or Senior Medical Advisor (MA, SMA).
• Contribute to and support the medical scientific aspects of various local and regional initiatives.
• Provide local and regional insights to HQ during Business Development Due Diligence processes.
• Contribute to head office-led medical programs prior to their launch.
• Oversee Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISSs) where appropriate, and support studies at the local level.
• Manage medical information inquiries in collaboration with the MA/SMA and HQ in Stockholm.
• Participate in relevant local, regional, and global congresses and symposia to represent Sobi and engage with pertinent stakeholders and clients.
• Advocate for scientific interests in both internal and external forums and interact with KOLs in settings such as hospitals and other Non-Governmental Organizations within the therapeutic area.
• Build and enhance strong relationships with scientific societies and key decision-makers.
• Provide guidance to the organization and management regarding medical issues and their legal ramifications.
• Ensure that the medical and scientific knowledge within the therapeutic area remains current and aligned with contemporary trends, staying informed about therapeutic developments related to both new and existing products.
• Accredited doctoral degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (Pharm.D., D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., or M.D./D.O.).
• Candidates with an advanced health degree and significant industry or clinical experience will also be considered.
• Ability to comprehend and effectively convey scientific information; respond to inquiries and address the needs of key stakeholders.
• At least 1 year of MSL experience is required.
• Proven success in managing internal and external stakeholders and leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Established track record in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to formulate and present a clear strategy or narrative.
• Proven capability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across the medical community.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive and constructive relationships with cross-functional internal team members.
• High levels of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability are essential.
• Experience in relevant clinical practice is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the highly regulated bio-pharmaceutical industry environment.
