Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver presentations and scientific exchanges regarding disease state awareness, product information, and pharmacoeconomic analyses to managed care organizations, payers, and formulary decision-makers as needed.

• Keep comprehensive and current scientific knowledge of disease states, clinical information, product data, and the competitive landscape within the relevant therapeutic areas.

• Establish and nurture peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through ongoing and balanced scientific dialogues in disease areas that are strategically important to Braeburn.

• Present scientific data related to products and disease awareness in hospital, institutional, and academic environments.

• Act as a liaison between healthcare professionals and Braeburn for unsolicited Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs).

• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information from healthcare professionals through written and verbal communication, ensuring proper documentation.

• Assist with company-sponsored trials and other research initiatives, including support for clinical trial site recruitment as needed.

• Facilitate Speaker Training for external healthcare professionals and provide support for Advisory Boards as required.

• Conduct training sessions for internal and external partners regarding disease states, product information, and competitive landscape insights.

• Provide medical booth and session coverage at scientific and medical conferences.

• Align daily activities with the strategic objectives of Medical Affairs, demonstrating flexibility in response to evolving business requirements.

• Engage proactively and collaboratively with other field-based and internal colleagues, sharing insights about regional and local issues that influence business and/or healthcare practices.

• Adhere to company policies, compliance regulations, and internal and external guidelines at all times.

• Assist with internal Medical Affairs projects as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in a health-sciences related discipline, such as a PharmD, MD, DO, or PhD.

• A minimum of 5 years of previous experience as an MSL or in a relevant pharmaceutical industry role is preferred.

• Experience in addiction medicine is highly desirable.

• Strong relationship-building abilities with top-tier medical experts.

• Demonstrated business and scientific acumen, evidenced by the ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information to colleagues, academics, and healthcare decision-makers.

• A solid understanding of the managed care landscape and the application of pharmacoeconomic principles is advantageous.

• Skills in teamwork, leadership, timely decision-making, and results orientation to meet business objectives.

• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, team, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.

• A strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

• Ability to excel in a virtual work environment.

• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel up to 60–70% of the time.
