This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Efficiently processing all requests for information releases while ensuring accuracy.
β’ Protecting patient privacy by ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to medical information.
β’ Completing information release requests, which includes retrieving and returning patient medical charts.
β’ Accurately scanning medical records and transmitting them in accordance with requests, procedures, and quality standards.
β’ Validating requests and authorizations for information release.
β’ Conducting quality checks on all tasks to ensure the accuracy of the releases.
β’ Keeping equipment in optimal working condition.
β’ Actively following up on customer requests and proactively identifying client concerns.
β’ A High School Diploma (GED) is required.
β’ Preferred: a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a medical records department or a similar environment.
β’ Strong computer software skills are essential, with a general working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
β’ Exceptional organizational skills are necessary.
β’ Ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
β’ Proficiency in using fax machines, copiers, and scanning devices is required.
β’ Willingness to quickly learn new equipment and processes is essential.
β’ Self-motivated and a team player.
β’ Proven skills in customer satisfaction are necessary.
β’ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
β’ Providing excellent customer service through attentiveness and respect.
β’ Ensuring the safeguarding and protection of patient privacy.
β’ Maintaining a tidy and professional personal appearance.
β’ Keeping a clean and organized work environment.
β’ Having a working knowledge of state laws and fee structures.
