This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Conduct testing on mammographic, radiographic, ultrasound, and various other diagnostic medical equipment.
• Perform radiation shielding surveys to assess lead thickness.
• Evaluate lead content in personnel protective equipment (such as lead aprons) utilized by medical staff.
• Offer consulting services in radiation safety, which includes conducting quarterly audits and participating in radiation safety committee meetings.
• Travel independently to client locations to provide on-site assistance and address any radiation-related inquiries or concerns from clients.
• Support regulatory compliance and coordinate efforts with radiation safety teams and radiology directors.
• Achieve qualification for MQSA physics testing within one year of employment.
• Collaborate with a team of physicists to meet the medical health physics requirements of multiple healthcare facilities.
• Possess a Master’s degree or higher in Imaging, Medical, or Health Physics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Be on the path to obtaining certifications such as CHP, ABSNM, ABMP, or ABR.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the use of radiation machines.
