This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Engage with end-users to recommend appropriate medical equipment.
• Investigate customer needs and requests.
• Oversee project equipment requirements with analytical thinking, considering the effects on construction.
• Establish and sustain communication with clients and the design-build team to clarify the scope of work and schedule necessities.
• Identify and mitigate risks; utilize healthcare-specific experience and knowledge to discover solutions for project obstacles.
• Formulate and track the equipment schedule and MEQ budget.
• Oversee the design process and the MEQ deliverables.
• Manage the creation and distribution of equipment specifications and drawings for construction documentation.
• Guide client expectations and provide internal team support to ensure that project objectives are achieved.
• Supervise the quality control process to guarantee accuracy and completeness of MEQ documentation.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal clients to maintain the company's competitive edge.
• Execute and oversee the training and mentoring of project staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent field is required.
• Over 7 years of experience as a medical equipment planner in the healthcare sector.
• More than 5 years of experience collaborating with the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Prior experience with Attainia software is mandatory.
• Experience in executing large, multi-phased, complex healthcare projects is preferred.
• Capability to manage multiple project demands concurrently, prioritize work, and delegate tasks to the team.
• Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
• Skill in quality checking data for inaccuracies and incompleteness based on medical equipment planning experience.
• Proficient in managing extensive data and utilizing an equipment planning database.
• Ability to devise and implement internal project processes.
• Knowledge and/or familiarity with Revit is preferred.
• Familiarity with SEPS is a plus.
• Understanding of clinical workflows and equipment placement concerning architectural spaces.
• Experience in lab planning.
