This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop radiation oncology treatment plans utilizing both computer and manual calculations to ensure prescribed radiation doses are delivered while protecting critical structures.
• Recognize and delineate normal and dose-limiting structures through the use of CT, MRI, PET, and various other imaging datasets.
• Generate and transfer reference images and localization markers for portal verification and treatment delivery, including DRRs and CBCTs.
• Oversee, conduct, or assist with simulations and tumor localization utilizing CT, MRI, PET, and other imaging technologies.
• Manage, execute, or aid in the fabrication of compensation filters, custom shields, wedges, and other devices that modify beams.
• Supervise, carry out, or assist in the creation of molds, casts, and other devices for patient immobilization.
• Provide guidance to radiation therapists regarding the execution of treatment plans, including the use of immobilization devices, compensators, wedges, field arrangement, and parameters for treatment or imaging.
• Calculate the delivery of prescribed doses, maintain accurate patient records, and validate mathematical precision using an approved methodology.
• Collaborate effectively with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, patients, family members, the radiation oncology treatment team, and external entities.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree.
• Board Certification by the MDCB is required.
• Experience with Eclipse/Aria is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.
• Proficiency in the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to formulate optimal treatment plans.
• Familiarity with healthcare informatics, including the tools, devices, and methods for acquiring, storing, and retrieving data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Must have complete access to Siemens Healthineers’ client sites.
• Must adhere to applicable Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may encompass valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screenings, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training.
• The successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in compliance with US export control laws.
