This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop radiation treatment plans utilizing both computer-assisted and manual calculations to achieve optimal beam configurations.
• Recognize and delineate normal and dose-limiting structures through the use of CT, MRI, PET, and various image datasets.
• Generate and transfer reference images along with localization markers, which include DRRs, CBCTs, and other IGRT techniques.
• Oversee, execute, or assist in simulations and tumor localization utilizing CT, MRI, PET, and other imaging technologies.
• Design and implement compensation filters, custom shields, wedges, and other devices that modify the radiation beam.
• Create and implement molds, casts, and various immobilization devices.
• Provide guidance to radiation therapists regarding the execution of treatment plans, immobilization devices, compensators, wedges, field arrangements, and treatment or imaging parameters.
• Conduct dose calculations, document relevant information in patient records, and ensure mathematical accuracy.
• Collaborate effectively with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, patients, family members, and other members of the treatment team.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Must be Board Certified by the MDCB.
• Experience with Eclipse/Aria is required.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.
• Specialized knowledge in radiation oncology and medical physics to formulate optimal treatment plans.
• Familiarity with healthcare informatics, including data acquisition, storage, and retrieval systems, devices, and methodologies.
• Competency in using computers, clinical guidelines, medical terminology, and information and communication technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have unrestricted access to Siemens Healthineers’ client locations to carry out essential duties.
• Must comply with applicable Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may involve valid ID, criminal background checks, drug screenings, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training.
