Medical Director – Radiation Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist with Oncology initiatives across the organization

• Manage utilization review and quality assurance, including oversight of predetermination reviews and claim determinations

• Contribute to the implementation of medical policies

• Offer expertise in clinical practices, coding, and reimbursement

• Lead case management when required

• Engage in the development, implementation, and assessment of clinical and medical programs

• Enhance medical management programs to meet member needs throughout the continuum of care

• Provide clinical knowledge and business guidance to support medical management programs through collaborative clinical team efforts

• Serve as a liaison between business and clinical teams and network providers and facilities

• Participate in a rotation for weekends, holidays, and on-call duties

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active medical license in good standing from a U.S. state

• Board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association

• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as necessary

• Minimum of 3 years of related radiation oncology experience in a patient care or managed care environment after completing residency

• Willingness to travel 1-2 times per quarter for team or client-related meetings
