Medical Director – Pneumonologist, EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Provide medical direction to study teams, which includes developing clinical trial protocols while incorporating the latest scientific data.

• Assist in site selection and participate in the review and approval of study protocols and amendments.

• Oversee the medical monitoring of clinical studies to ensure the medical validity of each primary endpoint and the safety of study participants.

• Actively address customer concerns and rectify issues in collaboration with the Global Medical Indication Lead.

• Consult with internal teams and support staff on procedural and budgetary matters.

• Serve as the main point of contact between the sponsor and all PPD internal departments involved in the required tasks throughout all phases of the study.

• Educate investigator sites by delivering presentations on protocol-specific laboratory procedures.

• Manage and oversee daily operations during the clinical trial to resolve issues and respond to queries.

• Be the medical contact for all internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with all medical aspects of the study by understanding and applying relevant SOPs and GCP.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional study team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical Doctor with a specialization in Pulmonology.

• Proven clinical experience managing Pulmonology patients in a hospital setting.

• Required industry experience in clinical development (1-2 years).

• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical medicine is essential.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English.

• Demonstrated understanding and experience with the NDA submission process.

• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines regarding adverse event reporting.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, along with being an excellent team player.
