
Medical Director β Pediatric Otolaryngology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ You will begin training remotely in a structured setting with guidance from trainers, mentors, and leadership to ensure your success.
β’ Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case evaluations for medical necessity using EviCoreβs case management software.
β’ Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers to discuss evidence-based medical necessity and the suitability of the requested service or treatment.
β’ Utilize your clinical knowledge to suggest alternative services or treatments as required.
β’ Collaborate with over 500 EviCore physician colleagues to ensure patients receive appropriate care through evidence-based decision-making.
β’ M.D. or D.O. with a valid, active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Otolaryngology, specifically in the sub-specialty of Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology.
β’ Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as necessary.
β’ At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience following residency or fellowship.
β’ Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, as well as Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards, is advantageous.
β’ Ability to adhere to a consistent weekly work schedule (Monday to Friday).
β’ Strong computer proficiency: capable of working independently with automated processes, applications, and systems.
β’ Meet the physical demands of the role, including but not limited to, typing, speaking, and listening for the entire duration of work.
β’ In compliance with our HITECH Security Accreditation, a company-provided encrypted workstation must be hard-wired to a modem or router; wireless connections are not allowed.
