Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Offer consultation and conduct thorough mortality evaluations of intricate medical files.

• Analyze EKGs, stress tests, blood work, and various medical test outcomes within medical chart documentation.

• Evaluate complex medical files and deliver informed, competitive assessments.

• Interpret laboratory and medical test outcomes utilized for identifying, diagnosing, or tracking diseases in underwriting risk evaluations.

• Engage in ongoing education for the JH underwriting team.

• Assist in the research and development of MUM updates, incorporating evidence-based research as necessary.

• Report directly to the Chief Medical Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• Health care professional with good standing: MD, DO, or RN.

• Strong comprehension of medical science and technology and their implications on mortality and morbidity.

• Familiarity with the medical underwriting process.

• Excellent analytical abilities and capacity to identify, investigate, and resolve issues.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance medicine is preferred.

• Board Certification in Insurance Medicine is advantageous but not mandatory.
