This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Examine outpatient medical records to gather clinical, pathological, therapeutic, and epidemiological data.
β’ Implement ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines to guarantee precise and compliant clinical data.
β’ Confirm patient demographics, admission details, discharge information, and treatment data prior to coding.
β’ Assign and prioritize principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures with the utmost level of specificity.
β’ Maintain coding precision to facilitate research, reimbursement, planning, statistics, and regulatory reporting.
β’ Input and preserve accurate coding data across various databases and information systems.
β’ Fulfill assigned case volumes, corrections, and special coding projects in accordance with established standards.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical coding experience.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10-CM coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
β’ Familiarity with coding software such as Epic or other systems (like 3M/Solventum Encoder) is advantageous.
β’ Previous experience in coding ambulatory settings, methods of administration/chemotherapy administration, clinical diagnosis, and/or procedural coding is preferred.
β’ Capacity to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information.
β’ CPC or CSS certification is mandatory.
β’ Flexible start time between 6 AM β 10 AM EST.
