Medical Coder – Internal Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Conduct Profee Internal Medicine coding for outpatient and clinic encounters

• Ensure precise assignment of CPT, modifiers, and ICD-10 codes

• Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks

• Operate directly within the client’s EMR system utilizing automated case assignment

• Offer backup assistance for both planned and unplanned coverage requirements

• Manage coverage for scheduled PTO and varying volumes

• Work hours arranged according to business demands

⛳️ Requirements

• Availability for 15–20 hours per week is necessary

• Must be accessible Monday–Friday between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM PST

• One of the following certifications is mandatory: CPC, CCS, or RHIT

• At least 3 years of Profee Coding experience, with expertise in Internal Medicine coding

• Experience with EPIC (Single Pathway) is highly preferred

• Must successfully complete a Profee coding assessment with a minimum score of 80%

• Capability to uphold required CPH (charts per hour) and accuracy standards

• Must be US based

• Coding productivity target: 12 encounters per hour

• Edits productivity target: 15 encounters per hour
