Medical Canvass Investigator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Performing desktop investigations to locate treatment facilities for individuals being investigated.

• Delivering findings in a timely and precise manner.

• Conducting research and making outbound calls to healthcare providers.

• Evaluating assignments to identify further case goals and client expectations.

• Liaising with clients and managers regarding specific assignments.

• Drafting comprehensive and accurate investigation reports.

• Spotting red flags or discrepancies and providing strong recommendations for additional investigation.

• Managing and monitoring caseloads while recording case-related time.

• Engaging in ongoing training related to HIPAA, permissible purposes, insurance investigations, and company policies/procedures.

• Upholding strict confidentiality and complying with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in hearings and providing testimony as required.

• Proficient computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• A private investigator license if mandated by your state of residence.

• Previous experience with outbound calls or in medical call centers (preferred).

• Prior investigative experience (preferred).

• Bilingual abilities are a plus (preferred).

• An associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field (preferred).

• Experience in quality control or report writing (preferred).

• Familiarity with social media or OSINT is a plus (preferred).
