This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Accurately and promptly submit insurance claims.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Follow up on insurance claims that are unpaid, pending, or denied.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and minimize outstanding balances.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, corrections, and appeals.
• Review billing reports to identify areas for enhanced collections.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of billing records and documentation.
• Assist in securing timely reimbursements and steady revenue collection.
• Provide support for incoming phone calls during peak periods.
• Aid in prior authorization requests as necessary.
• Support general administrative tasks during less busy billing times.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing supporting U.S. healthcare providers.
• Previous experience as a remote or Virtual Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
• A medical degree or healthcare license is not required.
• Experience in Psychiatry or Behavioral Health is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with medical coding, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS, is a significant advantage.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical billing and processing of insurance claims.
• Experience managing Accounts Receivable, following up on claims, and handling denials.
• Experience with verifying insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Knowledge of U.S. insurance payers and reimbursement procedures.
• Comfortable engaging directly with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Proactive, responsible, and ready to take ownership of duties.
• Dependable and able to quickly adjust to established workflows.
• Must communicate and write in English clearly and professionally.
• Relevant work experience is mandatory.
• An NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance must be provided prior to onboarding.
• Attendance at video meetings with the camera on when required is necessary.
• A reliable laptop or desktop computer is essential.
• A stable high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps is required.
• A noise-canceling headset is needed.
• A working webcam is necessary.
• A quiet and professional work environment is essential.
