This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Organize and manage patient appointments across two office locations.
• Oversee appointment reminders to minimize patient no-shows.
• Reschedule appointments as necessary while ensuring provider availability.
• Handle patient follow-ups and manage scheduling communications.
• Keep precise scheduling records across all systems.
• Execute daily medical billing tasks efficiently.
• Follow up on unpaid and denied insurance claims.
• Assist with activities related to Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
• Identify and resolve claim denials to optimize reimbursements.
• Support billing documentation and reconcile accounts.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Submit, monitor, and manage prior authorization requests.
• Access and download authorization information via the Optum portal.
• Maintain records and documentation for authorization tracking.
• Collaborate with insurance companies regarding authorization approvals and updates.
• Manage inbound and outbound patient phone calls.
• Assist with patient follow-up communications.
• Update spreadsheets and patient information accurately.
• Utilize Office Ally as the primary practice management system.
• Use Clearinghouse for scheduling and patient information.
• Employ Square for appointment holds and payment processing.
• Access insurance portal Optum for authorization needs.
• Create custom spreadsheets for patient data, referral doctor information, test requirements, and authorization tracking.
• Operate a basic phone system (traditional phone line).
• Experience in the healthcare industry is **REQUIRED**.
• Medical billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience is **REQUIRED**.
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations is **REQUIRED**.
• Proficiency in using **Office Ally** is highly preferred.
• Required Skills:
• Strong grasp of healthcare workflows.
• Experience in patient scheduling and appointment coordination.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility processes.
• Familiarity with handling prior authorizations.
• Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) expertise.
• Skills in claims follow-up and denial management.
• Experience in billing documentation and payment processing.
• Knowledge of insurance claims.
• Deal Breakers❌ No healthcare industry experience **❌ No medical billing or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience** ❌ No experience with insurance verification or prior authorizations **❌ Poor organizational or multitasking skills** ❌ Inability to maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Basic Requirements:
• Must communicate in English clearly and professionally.
• Must have relevant work experience.
• Must provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
• Must be available for video meetings with the camera on when required.
