This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Accurately process medical claims for oral surgery procedures.
• Conduct cross-coding between dental and medical insurance.
• Review documentation to guarantee precise coding and billing submissions.
• Assist in insurance reimbursement processes and address billing discrepancies.
• Maintain precise billing records and documentation.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as necessary.
• Aid in claim follow-ups and reimbursement tracking.
• Ensure all billing activities adhere to HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Safeguard confidential patient information while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Utilize Open Dental for managing billing workflows, patient records, and practice information.
• Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to facilitate billing workflows.
• Keep organized billing records and reports.
• Assist with workflow enhancements and operational projects as assigned.
• Perform additional administrative tasks to support the practice as needed.
• Prior experience in medical billing is essential.
• Practical experience with medical and dental cross-coding is highly preferred.
• Experience in supporting oral surgery, dental specialty, or surgical practices is strongly favored.
• Solid understanding of medical billing workflows, insurance reimbursement processes, and claims management.
• Open Dental experience is required. Candidates should have practical experience using Open Dental for billing, patient records, scheduling, or practice management in a dental or oral surgery setting.
• Strong knowledge of oral surgery procedures, terminology, and clinical workflows.
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and apply accurate billing and coding practices.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong productivity and time management skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Comfortable adhering to established processes while being adaptable to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing clear, professional English is a must.
• Relevant healthcare or administrative work experience is mandatory.
• Submission of an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance is required before onboarding (mandatory).
• Availability for video meetings with the camera on when required.
