This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for precise, detailed, and comprehensive medical billing procedures.
• Collaborating with the Team Lead, Supervisor, and Management.
• The coordinator will work in partnership with patients and office team members to ensure billing practices are thorough and accurate.
• Execute assigned responsibilities with professionalism, including interactions with insurance providers, clinics, patients, and team members as required.
• Keep current with accurate and legal billing practices for various payers.
• Engage in daily RCM activities, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of team responsibilities.
• Stay informed about the RCM process in accordance with National SOPs, processes, and policies.
• Make use of all available job aids, websites, programs, and resources provided.
• Assist leadership with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting needs as necessary.
• Achieve department daily productivity targets by completing a specified number of accounts while maintaining quality standards set by leadership.
• Identify and report any issues, including system access, payer behavior, account workflow inconsistencies, or other RCM-related opportunities to the Team Lead/Supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in medical facility or medical office billing is required.
• Capability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
• Familiarity with automated billing systems is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of full revenue cycle processes, including interactions with insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
