This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assign and review suitable diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and adherence to payer requirements.
• Provide support to providers regarding documentation-related coding inquiries.
• Assist in upholding coding standards and best practices.
• Verify insurance details and confirm patient eligibility.
• Aid in claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals when required.
• Help enhance reimbursement and minimize claim denials.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare billing and coding regulations.
• Support general healthcare administrative tasks as needed.
• Assist with documentation and record management.
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities as the clinic expands.
• Collaborate with providers and team members to boost operational efficiency.
• Previous experience in medical billing and coding is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Experience in reviewing clinical documentation and assigning precise diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Ability to identify discrepancies in coding, gaps in documentation, and compliance issues.
• Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes and claims management.
• Experience dealing with insurance companies and payer guidelines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
• Prior experience in primary care practices is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with family medicine, internal medicine, preventive care, chronic disease management, and routine outpatient visits.
• Understanding of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding guidelines and documentation requirements.
• Ability to review medical records and ensure documentation supports coding decisions.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and coding best practices.
• Experience collaborating with providers to enhance documentation quality.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems rapidly.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort in adapting to changing workflows and responsibilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to communicate professionally with providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
