• Participants will gain insights into how healthcare services are recorded, coded, accredited, enrolled with insurance providers, and reimbursed within healthcare organizations.
• Learners will acquire essential knowledge of the three key healthcare coding systems utilized in medical billing and coding: CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II.
• Throughout the program, participants will be introduced to the procedures related to provider credentialing and recredentialing, payer enrollment, and documentation verification.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident/Green Card holder (not available to non-citizens or Visa holders).
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is advantageous for this position.
• Candidates must successfully pass a national criminal background check.
• Total Stipend: $31,200, distributed over approximately 44 weeks for participation in both remote learning and remote hands-on internship/externship training.
• Eligible for monthly Health Marketplace reimbursement of up to $600 for 44 weeks (Participant cost only) - certain restrictions apply.
• Internet Stipend of $35/month for 44 weeks.
