
Medical Assistant β Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
β’ Perform a high volume of outbound and inbound calls to patients during your scheduled shift
β’ Arrange Annual Wellness Visits and care management appointments
β’ Deliver professional patient education about preventive services
β’ Achieve daily targets for outreach and scheduling performance
β’ Conduct medication reconciliation with patients
β’ Update patients' medical histories, allergies, and preventive care gaps
β’ Gather and document patient-reported vital signs when necessary
β’ Prepare charts for review by providers
β’ Ensure precise documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
β’ Assist in care coordination and follow-up activities
β’ Uphold HIPAA compliance at all times
β’ Accurately record all patient interactions in the EHR
β’ Raise clinical concerns to supervising providers as appropriate
β’ Medical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare experience is required
β’ Previous experience in a medical office, primary care, or care coordination environment
β’ Prior experience in a call center is strongly preferred
β’ Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, NextGen, or similar is preferred
β’ Experience working with Medicare populations is preferred
