Medical Assistant – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Perform a high volume of outbound and inbound calls to patients during your scheduled shift

• Arrange Annual Wellness Visits and care management appointments

• Deliver professional patient education about preventive services

• Achieve daily targets for outreach and scheduling performance

• Conduct medication reconciliation with patients

• Update patients' medical histories, allergies, and preventive care gaps

• Gather and document patient-reported vital signs when necessary

• Prepare charts for review by providers

• Ensure precise documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

• Assist in care coordination and follow-up activities

• Uphold HIPAA compliance at all times

• Accurately record all patient interactions in the EHR

• Raise clinical concerns to supervising providers as appropriate

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare experience is required

• Previous experience in a medical office, primary care, or care coordination environment

• Prior experience in a call center is strongly preferred

• Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, NextGen, or similar is preferred

• Experience working with Medicare populations is preferred
