This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as a reliable partner to healthcare providers by overseeing virtual patient rooming, collecting clinical history, and preparing all essential documentation for neurology appointments.
β’ Conduct and accurately evaluate standardized clinical assessments, such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.
β’ Examine intricate medical records, laboratory results, and imaging studies to pinpoint clinical gaps and assist in real-time clinical decision-making.
β’ Provide support to patients across specialized clinic pathways, including the GUIDE Program and the Anti Amyloid Therapy program.
β’ Aid in preparing patients for specialty therapies by coordinating necessary testing and acquiring supporting documentation from infusion centers and imaging facilities.
β’ Manage the collection of medical records, diagnostic tests, and referrals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
β’ Facilitate essential patient referrals for respite care and home safety evaluations to assist families at home.
β’ Identify urgent or clinically significant issues and escalate concerns as needed to providers or other members of the care team.
β’ Work collaboratively across functions with physicians, advanced practice providers, care coordinators, and navigators to provide cohesive, patient-centered care.
β’ Communicate empathetically with patients and caregivers while offering HIPAA-compliant advocacy support for insurance, billing, and clinical challenges.
β’ Current Medical Assistant Certification.
β’ Over 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical environment.
β’ Strong organizational abilities and outstanding attention to detail.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ High proficiency with computer-based tasks and videoconferencing platforms.
β’ Dependable high-speed internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant remote workspace.
β’ Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
β’ Previous experience in telemedicine or a virtual care delivery model is desirable.
