Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Make both outbound and inbound calls to patients and arrange appointments

• Assist with Annual Wellness Visits and outreach for care management

• Carry out medication reconciliation and ensure patient information is updated

• Accurately document patient interactions within the EHR

• Prepare patient charts and facilitate care coordination and follow-up

• Uphold HIPAA compliance and appropriately escalate clinical concerns

• Achieve designated targets for outreach, scheduling, and documentation

• Contribute to PharmD Live’s telehealth care management program in a fast-paced, remote setting

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience in healthcare is mandatory

• Previous experience in healthcare, patient outreach, scheduling, or care coordination

• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities

• Ability to manage high-volume calling and meet performance metrics

• Experience with EHR systems is preferred

• Experience with Medicare patients is preferred

• Dependable and self-driven in a remote working environment

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM ET

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
