Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the provider during examinations and procedures.

• Gather and document vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.).

• Prepare and dispense medications as instructed by a provider.

• Conduct basic laboratory tests and gather specimens for analysis.

• Keep precise patient records and maintain confidentiality.

• Aid with patient registration, scheduling appointments, processing insurance documentation, and billing procedures.

• Assist providers during women's health and maternal care appointments, including exams, screenings, and hands-on assistance.

• Set up examination rooms and ensure they are thoroughly sanitized.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations as mandated by the state of Missouri.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives to enhance community involvement with the mobile clinic program.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

• Medical Assistant certification is mandatory.

• BLS Certification is required.

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software.

• Awareness of community health requirements, particularly in underserved populations.

• Willingness to receive training and provide backup driving support for the mobile clinic.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR software.

• Capability to lift and transport items weighing 15+ lbs throughout the workday.

• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English or other languages) is required.
