Medical Affairs Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Serve as a scientific and clinical authority in diabetes and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of emerging evidence and practices.

• Deliver authoritative, evidence-based recommendations on clinical data, device utilization, and patient management to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Direct medical strategy and provide scientific input for tenders and guideline development, collaborating closely with Market Access to create strong, evidence-based positioning that facilitates reimbursement, formulary inclusion, and optimal patient access.

• Partner with Global Medical Affairs and the EMEA Medical Affairs Excellence Lead to drive integrated evidence planning and the disclosure of scientific data, ensuring a structured, consistent, and compliant approach to data dissemination across European markets and national congresses.

• Lead the regional Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategy, cultivating and enhancing high-value scientific partnerships while implementing a structured, insight-driven engagement plan.

• Initiate strategic KOL interactions at congresses to promote advocacy and influence clinical practices.

• Develop and implement impactful medical education programs that empower healthcare professionals to fully grasp and apply the clinical value of CGM in patient care.

• Provide timely, precise, and evidence-backed responses to medical inquiries, assisting both healthcare professionals and internal teams with the latest scientific information.

• Continuously assess the external landscape, producing actionable insights on competitive activities, emerging evidence, and clinical trends to guide strategy.

• Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional leadership, ensuring that medical insights inform business decisions, market access strategies, and long-term evidence generation plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in diabetes management and patient care, with a robust understanding of CGM; experience in utilizing CGM as a clinical decision-making tool is highly desirable.

• Preference for candidates with experience engaging with European healthcare systems and stakeholders.

• A highly collaborative, team-oriented professional with a proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organization while demonstrating sound judgment and independent decision-making.

• A successful track record of developing and leading strategic KOL partnerships, fostering long-term scientific collaborations, generating insights, and driving advocacy to influence clinical practices and healthcare systems.

• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), with the capacity to translate complex scientific data into clear, compelling messages tailored for diverse audiences.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.

• Fluency in English.
