This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +14 more states.
• Directly manage a team of 3-4 individuals, including the responsibilities of interviewing and hiring replacements.
• Act as a team leader by evaluating and nurturing employees through ongoing training and mentorship.
• Supervise direct reports to ensure effective team management and client caseload handling.
• Delegate tasks effectively and engage with the team, exemplifying leadership behaviors.
• Collaborate with the Director of Medicaid Teams to conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual performance assessments; address any disciplinary matters as needed.
• Issue Performance Improvement Plans for team members when necessary, ensuring appropriate follow-up and evaluation for sustained enhancement.
• Partner with the Sr Manager of Medicaid Teams to assess team workload and task delegation.
• Acquire knowledge of federal and state Medicaid LTC regulations and eligibility criteria through research and learning.
• Assess cases to facilitate tailored eligibility planning strategies for each client.
• Act as an advisor on case matters to assist Medicaid Specialists in processing applications within required timelines.
• Resolve escalated issues that arise during the Medicaid application process.
• Conduct regular team and individual meetings with direct reports to inform staff about process and policy updates.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries or concerns as necessary.
• Adhere to company data security policies to protect client information.
• Validate biweekly time cards using RIPPLING.
• Demonstrate proficiency with company productivity tools, including CRM database, Google Docs, Adobe PDF editor, and online mailing services.
• Utilize tracking systems to report data-driven progress towards goals and review monthly productivity reports with the Sr Manager of Medicaid Teams.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role with management of personnel.
• Proven experience in managing and training direct reports, with a talent for recognizing strengths and building confidence in team members.
• Solid understanding of long-term Medicaid, including application processing and Medicaid LTC eligibility rules.
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to improvements in processes and systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial assets, such as IRAs, life insurance policies, annuities, trusts, etc.
• Competence in analyzing financial data through spreadsheet calculations; high comfort level with mathematics.
• Experience in complex problem-solving and process enhancement techniques.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment; self-aware and receptive to constructive feedback from peers.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Responsible self-starter who meets deadlines consistently.
• Proven track record of successfully working with diverse individuals and groups from various cultural backgrounds and experiences.
• Experience in managing files and documents efficiently.
• Proficient in the Google Suite of products, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets.
• Competent in using PDF editing software, such as Adobe Acrobat.
