Medicaid Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete reimbursement process for Medicaid funding streams within online educational institutions.

• Partner with Special Programs, Accounting, and Government Affairs to develop exceptional billing workflows.

• Prepare, submit, and reconcile claims to state and federal agencies, along with resubmitting when necessary.

• Create and uphold funding models, profit and loss statements, and cash-flow projections for Medicaid reimbursements.

• Lead collection initiatives and address any billing discrepancies that arise.

• Investigate, suggest, and apply best practices to enhance billing workflows.

• Keep track of trends related to reimbursement rates, utilization, and policy modifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.

• Over 2 years of billing experience in an educational or school district setting (including Medicaid and/or other federal programs).

• Expertise in ERP systems (such as Oracle or Workday) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong research and analytical skills with a comfort level in navigating complex regulations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, along with a customer-service mindset.

• Demonstrated success in a highly matrixed organization and managing cross-functional projects effectively.

• Keen attention to detail with a focus on meeting deadlines.
