This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop regional and country-specific marketing and media strategies to engage audiences for a range of celebrity campaigns, video launches, investigations, news conferences, and press releases.
• Identify, reach out to, and cultivate professional relationships with relevant media outlets and journalists to secure coverage for various issues and campaigns.
• Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive media database.
• Prepare press releases and media statements, and if necessary, arrange for their translation and conduct follow-up calls to media outlets.
• Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of each media pitch and modify strategies as needed.
• Formulate and implement tactics to enhance the organization’s web content visibility among targeted audiences.
• Assist in generating content for the organization’s digital platforms, such as website articles, online advocacy initiatives, pledges, and social media channels.
• Create and disseminate email communications to the organization’s members and supporters.
• Serve as a spokesperson and provide interviews as necessary.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Strong dedication to and in-depth understanding of animal rights issues and advocacy campaigns.
• Proven exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Preference for candidates with some knowledge or experience in media relations.
• Extensive experience in managing social media accounts with a proven track record of enhancing engagement.
• Excellent research capabilities.
• A proactive approach with a sense of urgency and the ability to take initiative and see tasks through to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Capability to interact with a diverse range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must adhere to a vegan lifestyle.
