Social Media Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily management of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Red Note / Xiaohongshu, TikTok, and other pertinent channels.

• Ensure a consistent posting schedule across various markets, such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, and Melbourne.

• Tailor content to suit different channels, audiences, and specific local market requirements.

• Track social media interactions, comments, messages, and engagement trends.

• Assist in community management, providing timely responses or escalating issues as necessary.

• Produce, edit, and distribute social media content, encompassing short-form videos, reels, stories, static posts, carousels, and various other formats.

• Craft clear and engaging captions that resonate with the brand voice and campaign objectives.

• Aid in capturing photos and videos during school events, workshops, open houses, and other marketing endeavors.

• Edit basic video and visual content for social media applications.

• Transform existing content into formats tailored for specific platforms.

• Design simple social media graphics and layouts using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or comparable software.

• Support copywriting efforts for social media, campaigns, event promotions, parent education materials, and school updates.

• Ensure that content remains visually cohesive, brand-consistent, and suitable for each platform.

• Collaborate with marketing and school teams to collect stories, photos, testimonials, and other content ideas.

• Assist in executing social media strategies for open houses, parent workshops, enrollment campaigns, school launches, and other marketing initiatives.

• Help monitor performance metrics across channels, including engagement, reach, follower growth, content effectiveness, and lead generation where applicable.

• Create straightforward social media reports that highlight successful strategies, areas for improvement, and future testing opportunities.

• Provide support for social media activities related to influencers, creators, and partnerships as needed.

• Stay updated on social media trends, platform changes, and content formats relevant to early childhood, education, parenting, and lifestyle audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, communications, or a similar field.

• Experience in managing or supporting social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and preferably Red Note / Xiaohongshu.

• A strong understanding of visual storytelling and effective social media performance.

• Basic design and video editing skills using Canva or similar applications.

• Excellent English writing abilities, capable of creating clear and engaging captions and short-form content.

• Comfortable collaborating with school teams, marketing colleagues, and external vendors.

• Willingness to engage hands-on in content gathering, editing, posting, and reporting processes.

• A keen interest in education, parenting, early childhood development, Montessori, or mission-driven brands.

• **Nice to have**

• Mandarin language proficiency, particularly for Red Note / Xiaohongshu content.

• Experience in producing bilingual or localized content for Asian markets.

• Background in influencer or creator collaborations.

• Experience in photography or videography.

• Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools.

• Experience working across diverse markets or brands.
