This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the strategic vision for the YouTube & Social media buying team
• Propel business growth and guarantee excellence in execution across client accounts
• Collaborate with the SVP of Media as the operational right hand
• Supervise influencer media planning, purchasing, and execution
• Maintain proficiency in buying tools and platforms while enhancing processes and workflows
• Create buying guides, negotiation frameworks, and standards of practice
• Retain specific buying duties for high-priority clients
• Diagnose performance issues and optimize campaigns
• Lead new business pitches and formulate strategic proposals
• Manage client budget distribution, testing roadmaps, and execution of media strategy
• Oversee the onboarding process for new clients
• Assess new media opportunities and establish points of view
• Cultivate relationships with creators, networks, and agencies
• Facilitate weekly team meetings and mentor senior buyers and the wider team
• Recruit, train, and develop senior buyers, media buyers, associate buyers, and coordinators
• Manage workflow, account assignments, and capacity planning with the SVP
• Encourage accountability, proactive communication, and continuous improvement
• Act as the senior point of contact for high-priority clients and vendor partners
• Prepare for vendor meetings and quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
• Serve as the primary escalation point for client, vendor, and compliance matters
• Collaborate with compliance and media operations to uphold agency protocols
• Utilize data insights for network-partner strategy and portfolio decision-making
• Keep abreast of platform changes, algorithm shifts, monetization formats, AI platforms, and competitive threats
• Represent Oxford Road at industry conferences and panels
• Contribute to Oxford Road’s newsletter, podcast, and summit as a practitioner voice
• 8+ years of experience in media buying or media planning
• A minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position
• Demonstrated success in driving business growth, managing extensive client portfolios, and leading high-performing teams
• In-depth expertise in creator media buying and a robust understanding of the broader media landscape and emerging platforms
• Experience overseeing multi-level media teams
• Strong negotiation skills and market relationships to consistently achieve best-in-market rates
• Proven capability to lead through change in a dynamic environment
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make sound recommendations based on performance data
• Proficient in media buying platforms, analytics tools, and relevant software
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Must reside in the United States
• Remote work within the United States
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for industry events, key client meetings, new business pitches, and company-hosted activities
