This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
β’ Act as the initial responder for critical operational incidents, which include significant downtime, major equipment malfunctions, startup and restart failures, as well as ongoing defects, scrap issues, or throughput crises.
β’ Be ready to deploy to any facility in the U.S. or Canada on short notice to evaluate conditions, stabilize operations, and implement corrective measures.
β’ Serve as the on-site technical authority during escalation situations, collaborating closely with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and Maintenance Leaders.
β’ Lead root cause investigations and ensure that corrective actions are carried out, verified, and sustained.
β’ Provide practical technical guidance across various areas including blow molding, bottle processing, packaging, upstream and downstream assets, plant utilities, and support systems.
β’ Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control-related challenges on the production floor.
β’ Carry out corrective actions in partnership with plant teams.
β’ Execute significant preventive maintenance and overhaul tasks.
β’ Operate blow molding production lines in emergency scenarios.
β’ Enhance the technical skills of operators and maintenance technicians.
β’ Offer hands-on training and refine technical training programs for operators and maintenance personnel.
β’ Identify recurring problems and systemic issues impacting safety, quality, costs, or delivery.
β’ Establish standard practices, processes, and controls to avert future occurrences.
β’ Assist locations in maintaining improvements following your departure.
β’ Promote safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and environmental compliance.
β’ Liaise with equipment suppliers and technical service providers.
β’ Aid vendor troubleshooting, parts strategy, and post-event analysis.
β’ Document root causes, corrective measures, and lessons learned from each engagement.
β’ Provide support to all manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 100%, often with minimal advance notice.
β’ Must be available to work extended hours during critical recovery phases.
β’ 6 to 10 years of experience in a high-output plastics manufacturing setting, with significant exposure to bottle processing operations.
β’ 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance or production technical roles.
β’ Proven expertise in troubleshooting blow molding systems and downstream bottle processing equipment.
β’ Demonstrated capability to lead effectively under pressure during unexpected operational challenges.
β’ Strong decision-making abilities with a knack for assessing incomplete information in fast-paced environments.
β’ Readiness and ability to be hands-on on the production floor.
β’ Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in manufacturing settings.
