This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.
• Manage the installation, maintenance, and operation of mechanical systems.
• Lead and oversee on-site mechanical teams, contractors, and technicians for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
• Analyze mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans to guarantee accurate installation and adherence to design objectives.
• Perform thorough on-site inspections of mechanical work, including system testing, commissioning, and performance validation.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, mechanical codes, fire codes, and environmental regulations for all work conducted.
• Collaborate with local authorities, building departments, and inspection agencies to obtain permit approvals and facilitate regulatory inspections.
• Create comprehensive progress reports, inspection documentation, and status updates for project management and clients.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols, lead safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations in mechanical work areas.
• Identify and address mechanical system issues, design discrepancies, and installation obstacles in real time.
• Coordinate and supervise mechanical subcontractors, ensuring quality of work and adherence to schedules.
• Keep precise records of inspections, tests, warranties, and as-built conditions.
• Engage in system startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain communication with building owners, facility managers, and end users regarding the operation of mechanical systems.
• At least 5 years of mechanical supervision experience in commercial, industrial (Manufacturing/Clean Lab), or institutional projects (experience in DC is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems design and installation.
• In-depth understanding of local mechanical codes, building codes, and inspection standards.
• Proven capability to produce clear and detailed reports for various stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting field inspections and quality control processes.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage multiple mechanical contractors effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Associate Engineer License (at a minimum).
• Professional licenses (PE, contractor's license) are considered a bonus.
• Familiarity with BIM/3D modeling coordination.
