This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conduct an analysis of current practices within a member's automotive shop and provide enhancement recommendations based on ATI’s best practices and methodologies.
• Offer coaching, consultation, and mentoring to our members to help them realize their business aspirations and objectives.
• Assist members in transforming their automotive shop into a profitable and efficient enterprise through our 48-month re-engineering program and alumni initiatives.
• Engage in active listening to understand the needs of shop owners, aiding them in making their shops more profitable and effective.
• Communicate to comprehend the areas members wish to improve or rectify in their business via phone, Zoom, and email.
• Analyze financial statements, assess competitors, and evaluate business practices.
• After completing research, the Coach will formulate a new business model or offer recommendations and present them to the client.
• Maintain a professional yet assertive and results-driven demeanor, showcasing strong mentoring abilities and a genuine passion for aiding shop owners in becoming successful entrepreneurs.
• Consult, train, mentor, and coach clients to support them in achieving their business goals and aspirations.
• Successfully guide clients through the foundational elements that contribute to a profitable business.
• Strive to meet or surpass all ATI benchmarks, ensuring a positive Return on Investment for the client.
• Guarantee class attendance from clients and their staff.
• Continuously monitor members' progress within the program to align their needs with their desires.
• Participate in weekly Coaches meetings and stay informed about trends in other service-related sectors that could be adapted or implemented.
• Attend Shop Owner’s Dinner Events, participate in the annual SuperConference, and engage in industry-related gatherings.
• At least 10 years of comprehensive automotive experience, emphasizing service writing, shop management, operations management, or prior shop ownership, ideally within the independent, non-dealer, aftermarket sector.
• Experience in operations management (preferably with an aftermarket chain) that includes established internal structures and processes.
• Outstanding coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong understanding of automotive business principles.
• Ability to influence others effectively through telephone and videoconferencing communications.
• Minimum of 4 years in teaching, instructing, and mentoring small business owners or employees, with a clear grasp of the challenges faced by independent shop owners.
• Proven track record in consultative management, people development, and business management, with prior success in an organization that sets monthly goals.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly in Word and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
• Preferred sales capabilities.
• Experience in accounting or P&L management.
• Knowledge of marketing and online/social media strategies.
• Strong writing skills with an interest in contributing articles to industry magazines is a plus.
