Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Identify and rectify equipment issues.

• Execute both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

• Fill out failure documentation.

• Utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for parts searches, schematics, operational procedures, and more.

• Engage in failure analysis activities.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other internal departments.

• Reach out to equipment manufacturers’ technical support when necessary.

• Aid in the ongoing enhancement of the machine maintenance department.

• Revise operational procedures and electrical schematics in partnership with the reliability engineer.

• Refresh lockout/tagout documentation.

• Take part in equipment upgrades and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in Industrial Mechanics or an equivalent qualification.

• A candidate with over 10 years of experience in a related position.

• Technical expertise in Industrial Mechanics or Electromechanics.

• Proficient in computer applications: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SAP.

• Language proficiency: French is mandatory; working knowledge of English is preferred.

• Soft skills: capacity to make technical decisions; strong analytical abilities; self-directed; collaborative; attentive listener.
