Mechanical Estimator – Pre-Construction Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct precise quantity takeoffs for commercial mechanical systems, encompassing ductwork and piping for new installations.

• Develop comprehensive material estimates utilizing company pricing templates and Excel-based estimating tools.

• Support bid preparation, proposal documentation, and pre-construction planning activities.

• Oversee RFIs, submittals, specification reviews, and code revisions throughout the bidding phase.

• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to acquire pricing, product details, and quotations.

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and construction documents to determine scope and identify potential risks.

• Keep organized estimating records and documentation.

• Partner with Project Managers while independently navigating a fast-paced remote work environment.

• Employ construction management platforms such as Procore and digital takeoff software during the estimating process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical discipline (preferred).

• 2–3 years of relevant experience estimating commercial mechanical construction projects within the US market.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical construction methodologies.

• Proven experience executing digital quantity takeoffs from construction drawings.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and maintain estimating templates.

• Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong proficiency in written and verbal English communication.

• Willingness to work full-time during business hours aligned with US Eastern Time.
