Mechanical Engineer, CAD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive mechanical design and CAD assignments on a Mac.

• Articulate engineering decisions and workflows during tasks.

• Generate high-quality training datasets for sophisticated AI models.

• Assist in a research initiative with a prominent AI laboratory.

• Participate in a brief AI interview and compensated assessment during the onboarding process.

• Commit to approximately 10–20 hours per week.

• Start immediately if possible.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, or currently enrolled as a postgraduate engineering student.

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in 3D modeling and drafting.

• Must own a MacBook or Mac equipped with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.

• Proficient in Mac-compatible CAD software such as Fusion 360, Onshape, Shapr3D, or FreeCAD.

• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings is advantageous.

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed a Master’s degree, or possess 2–3 years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.

• Ability to clearly articulate engineering decisions while engaged in work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be capable of functioning as an independent contractor.

• H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
