Mechanical Engineer, CAD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in a research initiative with a prominent AI laboratory.

• Execute and narrate actual mechanical design and CAD assignments on a Mac.

• Generate high-quality training data for cutting-edge AI models.

• Navigate through authentic engineering design processes.

• Engage in a 3-minute conversation with an AI interviewer.

• Complete a short paid assessment.

• Offer services as an independent contractor.

• Participate in projects that may be lengthened, shortened, or concluded earlier based on requirements and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience, or currently a postgraduate engineering student.

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in 3D modeling and drafting.

• Ownership of a MacBook or Mac equipped with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or later.

• Proficiency in Mac-compatible CAD software such as Fusion 360, Onshape, Shapr3D, or FreeCAD.

• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings is advantageous.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree, or having 2–3 years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.

• Capability to articulate engineering decisions clearly during work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
