Mechanical Designer/Draftsperson

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create precise shop drawings within specified deadlines

• Ensure compliance of shop drawings with applicable specifications

• Recognize potential safety or operational challenges and propose solutions

• Collaborate with the Engineering Team to confirm that shop drawings align with structural design requirements

• Provide support to the Sales team by offering product information

• Encourage and engage with staff to introduce innovative product ideas to the company

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Mechanical Drafting / Design

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Experience with Solidworks is preferred

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Knowledge of Australian industrial standards is advantageous

• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Capability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and concise way
