MDM Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in converting business needs into well-defined, structured data requirements for enterprise master data projects.

• Identify and document business and governance necessities for essential master data domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Products, Assets).

• Transform business needs into detailed Data Requirements Documents, incorporating intricate attribute structures and logical data models.

• Establish master data processes such as searching, retrieving, creating, matching/merging, and synchronizing data.

• Facilitate metadata management utilizing enterprise tools (e.g., Informatica Axon/EDC or similar).

• Record attribute-level data quality standards and business validation logic.

• Develop governance materials, dashboards, and reports for working groups and stakeholder evaluations.

• Assist in governance-related change management for attributes, systems, and domains, ensuring adherence to approved standards and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Master Data Management as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or a related position.

• More than 5 years of practical experience with Informatica or equivalent master data, metadata, or governance platforms.

• In-depth understanding of master data concepts, data warehousing, relational databases, SaaS applications, and cloud data solutions.

• Practical experience in developing logical data models, attribute definitions, or data mapping specifications.

• Familiarity with data governance and data management best practices (e.g., DAMA, DCAM, or similar frameworks).

• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the capability to produce clear, stakeholder-ready documentation.

• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, IT, Data Management, or a related area.
