This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of physicians to meet clinical, operational, and engagement objectives.
β’ Foster a culture centered on accountability, ongoing improvement, and exceptional performance.
β’ Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, career development discussions, and continuous coaching.
β’ Identify performance deficiencies and proactively create improvement strategies to enhance clinician success in collaboration with the Clinical Education Lead.
β’ Recognize and nurture high-achieving clinicians, providing opportunities for growth and leadership advancement.
β’ Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention of physician team members.
β’ Track team performance across quality, clinical outcomes, member experience, and productivity indicators.
β’ Conduct regular evaluations of physician performance and deliver actionable feedback to enhance care delivery.
β’ Perform clinical quality assurance tasks and support compliance with evidence-based care standards.
β’ Collaborate with VMG leadership to pinpoint emerging quality issues and implement necessary corrective measures.
β’ Maintain a small patient panel and exemplify excellence in patient care.
β’ Identify trends, obstacles, and opportunities that influence team performance and patient results.
β’ Share and promote best practices across teams to enhance the consistency and effectiveness of care delivery.
β’ Provide frontline insights and feedback to Provider Operations and Clinical Program Management leaders regarding potential improvements in workflow, processes, and programs.
β’ Support the rollout and adoption of new programs, tools, workflows, and organizational initiatives.
β’ Encourage collaboration among VMG teams to further organizational goals and enhance provider effectiveness.
β’ MD or DO degree with an unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state, with an expectation of acquiring additional licenses over time.
β’ While multiple state licenses are advantageous, only the willingness and capacity to obtain more licenses are necessary, with the expectation that licensure will expand to over 15 states if needed to support business operations.
β’ Board certification in a pertinent specialty.
β’ Over 2 years of direct people management experience, which includes coaching, performance management, and physician development.
β’ Proven track record of leading teams to achieve clinical, quality, productivity, and engagement objectives.
β’ Experience analyzing performance data and leveraging insights to promote accountability and continuous improvement.
β’ Strong coaching and feedback capabilities, with a dedication to developing physicians and future leaders.
β’ Demonstrated ability to influence peers and foster alignment within physician teams.
β’ Experience in identifying best practices and promoting change adoption within a clinical setting.
β’ Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
β’ Ability to balance direct patient care responsibilities with leadership and organizational priorities.
β’ Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, or rapidly evolving healthcare environment is preferred.
