This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work in conjunction with Prepory’s Admissions Coaches to synchronize on student progress and establish milestones for personalized application strategies.
• Facilitate individualized advising sessions via Zoom with each student, offering customized support aligned with their goals and profiles.
• Efficiently and responsibly manage a group of medical school applicants, with advisors expected to support at least five (5) applicants each application cycle.
• Conduct necessary research to enhance your advising sessions and those of your Admissions Coach colleagues, address inquiries, or provide valuable information/resources to students.
• Adopt a proactive and strategic approach in the advice and guidance offered to students, ensuring expertise and current knowledge of the admissions challenges they encounter.
• Offer interview coaching and support, including conducting mock interviews throughout the application process.
• Attend regular meetings with Admissions Coaches to remain informed about student progress and carry out committee-informed evaluations of application materials.
• Engage in regular meetings with the cohort of Prepory graduate admissions coaches, led by a Lead Coach mentor.
• Keep detailed communication with the Program Director and Director of Client Success to provide continual updates on student progress.
• Graduation from a top-ranked undergraduate institution (e.g., top 50 ranked universities or top 20 liberal arts colleges) is required.
• Current enrollment in or graduation from a U.S. medical school is mandatory.
• Comprehensive understanding of the U.S. medical school admissions process is essential, including familiarity with AMCAS/AACOMAS systems, secondary applications, MCAT preparation, interview formats (e.g., MMI), and holistic review practices.
• Previous medical school admissions experience at an accredited medical school in the U.S. is highly preferred, though candidates with substantial experience in pre-med advising, medical education, or health professions advising will also be considered.
• Awareness of the broader landscape of U.S. undergraduate and medical education, including pre-medical advising and pipeline programs, is important.
• Capacity to support multiple students throughout the entire application cycle, from planning to interviews and final decisions.
• Availability during after-school hours and weekends, with flexibility to accommodate students in international time zones, particularly during peak admissions periods.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to keep students on track with deadlines and document submissions.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, particularly in delivering constructive feedback on personal statements, activity entries, and secondary essays.
