MCU Field Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute both field and workshop-related tasks as necessary.

• Deliver on-site technical guidance, hands-on service, and leadership during the installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of customer-owned utility and industrial facilities.

• Create job planning documents that clearly outline the scope of outages to be conducted, incorporating engineering instructions, drawings, and process directives.

• Effectively communicate with management and colleagues by utilizing the customer's CTQ (Critical to Quality) requirements during job planning and execution.

• Lead skilled labor engaged in work on customer sites.

• Diagnose and conduct routine maintenance checks on a wide variety of equipment, including power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, turbines, motors, and generators.

• Address electromechanical operations and maintenance challenges in the Power Delivery sector.

• Perform administrative tasks such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, obtaining quotations, preparing job status updates, reports for customers, time sheets, and expense reports in a thorough and timely manner.

• Demonstrate sound judgment in managing costs and expenditures of company funds.

• Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure that the executed work adheres to the technical requirements outlined in TGE safety standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Properly qualified Electrical Fitter with demonstrated HV experience, or Electrical Technician / Technologist, or Electrician with proven HV experience.

• Knowledgeable in test equipment and testing procedures.

• Proficient in computer operations.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Excellent skills in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
