Math Instructor – Full Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Teach small “core” groups of students focused on their foundational math skills to foster a deep understanding of concepts and achieve top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor student progress as they navigate Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing personalized growth and improvement opportunities throughout.

• Demonstrate professionalism and strong organizational abilities by responding to students promptly, managing and updating lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring accountability for assignments.

• Lead the creation and innovative implementation of dynamic lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students with empathy, recognizing the increasing competitiveness and stress associated with the college application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master’s or higher preferred; open to entry-level candidates).

• At least one year of teaching experience in math and/or experience in a college-level tutoring center.

• A GPA of 3.5 or higher.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace with minimal distractions.

• Experience teaching at the college or community college level.

• Strong grasp of classroom pedagogy and the capability to develop tailored, engaging lesson plans.
