This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Teach small “core” groups of students focusing on their foundational math skills to foster a deep understanding of subjects and achieve top scores on their college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your students' progress as they advance through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing personalized growth and improvement opportunities throughout the process.

• Demonstrate professionalism and effective organizational abilities by responding to students in a timely manner, keeping student lesson schedules updated on our online platform, and ensuring students are accountable for their assignments.

• Lead the creation and innovative implementation of continually evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Support middle and high school students with compassion, recognizing that the college application journey is increasingly competitive and stressful.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master’s degree or higher preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in math or experience working in a college-level tutoring center.

• A GPA of 3.5 or higher.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Availability of a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise and distractions.
